Poundbury farmers’ market has moved to a new home in Queen Mother Square, in front of Little Waitrose.

The popular market – which has hosted celebrities such as Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall – moved from its old site near Brownsword Hall to the new venue on April 6.
To help celebrate the move, Tim Attril, chef from the Hive Beach Cafe, gave demonstrations at the farmers’ market mobile kitchen, together with Adrian Spicer from L & C Game and Caroline Drever from Dorset Shellfish.

The quality and diversity of the local produce on sale is justly famous, whether you are looking for the ingredients to cook a gourmet dinner from scratch, a gift idea for a ‘foodie’ friend, or just something healthy that can be rustled up quickly for supper.

The next dates for the farmers’ markets are Dorchester – South Street, April 27; Poundbury –
Queen Mother Square, May 4 (both 9am-1pm).

And don’t miss the Normandy Market in South Walks, Dorchester on Saturday, April 13.
