Award-winning Dutch violinist Tim Kliphuis is a legend in the gypsy world. His trio with Nigel Clark (guitar) and Roy Percy (bass) re-defines the music of J.S. Bach, Django and the Chieftains to create an intensely moving concert experience with a brand new style that embraces classical, gypsy jazz and folk.
Hailed as a ‘current-day improvising Paganini’, his inclusive approach to music has united audiences and is influencing a new generation of string players.
The trio’s new show ‘Brandenburg’ brings out the folk side in J.S. Bach’s music, and couples it with the likes of Copland, Django and Gabriel Fauré, creating an exhilarating journey with moments of sheer beauty! Touring Dorset with Artsreach, the counties touring arts charity.
