Whether you’re a homecraft hobbyist, horticulturalist, animal lover or gastronome, this year’s Dorset County Show will indulge your wildest fantasies.

Now approaching its 175th year, the Dorset County Show is the biggest two-day agricultural event in Dorset, hosting an average 40,000 visitors over the show weekend.

Dorch-ShowFrom its wealth of thriving livestock, many of which are rare breeds you won’t see anywhere else, to its food tent showcasing the best artisan food and drink on offer in Dorset, to a homecraft tent boasting so many creative exhibits, it is the envy of the UK agricultural show circuit.

This year the Royal Signals White Helmets motorcycle display team will be revving up to take to the main ring to perform a thrilling display of death-defying, daredevil stunts.

The hugely popular countryside area will also play host to the much-loved annual terrier and ferret racing – a spectacle not to be missed.

For shoppers, The Dorset County Show is a one stop and is the only event in the County where you can splash out on a shiny new tractor, the latest new car, a garden shed and duck all under one, sky blue, roof. The Dorset County Show takes place in 2015 on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September. Gates open at 8.30am. Early-bird tickets priced at £11.00 for adults (kids go free) are available until 1 August.
